Nelson Bike Rentals is a division of Stewarts Avanti Plus.

We have been renting bicycles from our store for over 20 years.

Our long established store which is owned by Mike Watson, is a well known cycle shop throughout New Zealand by other store owners and cyclists alike.

Nelson is one of the best places to ride in New Zealand. We have the longest sunshine hours annually in NZ and have many awesome mountain bike tracks very close to the city. The ever increasing local paved cycle tracks are great for those wanting to share in our local lifestyle. There are also many close country roads which are cycle friendly for the touring cyclist or race cyclist to use for training.

We also have many local events run regularly by the various clubs road, mountain and multi sport/tri. Check out our website events list, we even run several of these events.

Two of our staff members, Greg and Niel, have toured much of New Zealand. Niel has also toured throughout many countries overseas. They are a good sounding board for your queries if you are a new comer to the world of cycle touring.

We have expanded our hire fleet and set up our purpose built rental site to cater for the increase in demand and to provide you with better service. We have the added ability to call on back up stock in our shop should the need arise.
